A Commitment to
Understanding the Whole Person

NeuroEdge Psychological Services was founded by Dr. Beatrix Wagner with the vision of creating a practice that combines scientific rigor, neuropsychological depth, compassionate care, and genuine human understanding.

We recognize that symptoms often overlap across multiple conditions and that many individuals spend years feeling misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or uncertain about why previous interventions have not fully addressed their struggles. For this reason, NeuroEdge emphasizes depth, nuance, and individualized understanding rather than relying solely on symptom checklists or surface-level impressions.

Our evaluations are designed not only to identify diagnoses, but to uncover underlying patterns, contributing factors, strengths, compensatory strategies, and individualized pathways toward growth, treatment, and improved functioning.

The goal is not simply to answer the referral question — it is to better understand the person as a whole.

why i do this text.png
brain 3.png

From an early age, I found myself naturally drawn to understanding people not only what they were experiencing emotionally, but why. Over time, that curiosity evolved into a deep interest in the relationship between the brain, behavior, cognition, emotions, nervous system functioning, and lived experience.

What I value most about this field is the opportunity to help individuals and families feel understood in ways they may not have experienced before. Many people come to evaluation after years of confusion, frustration, self-doubt, or feeling that important aspects of their experiences
were overlooked. I believe meaningful assessment should provide clarity, insight, validation, and practical direction — not simply a report or diagnosis.

My path into neuropsychology was shaped by both a strong interest in neuroscience and a desire to look beyond surface-level explanations. I became increasingly interested in understanding the
underlying factors contributing to an individual’s struggles rather than simply assigning labels or focusing only on isolated symptoms. This perspective continues to guide my work today.

I am particularly passionate about complex and nuanced clinical presentations, including individuals whose symptoms may be masked, overlapping, misunderstood, or difficult to identify through traditional approaches alone. My goal is always to approach each person with curiosity, respect, compassion, and careful attention to the unique factors that shape who they are.

OUR clinical text.png

Precision. Compassion. Clarity.

We recognize that no two individuals are alike. Symptoms that appear similar on the surface may arise from very different neurological, psychological, developmental, medical, environmental, or life-history factors. Anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, trauma, sensory processing differences, mood conditions, neurological factors, sleep disruption, and cognitive changes may all interact in complex ways that require careful and individualized evaluation.

We recognize that psychological assessments should be practical and meaningful. Evaluations are intended not only to clarify diagnoses, but to provide real-world insights, guide treatment planning, support educational or occupational accommodations when appropriate, and help individuals and families better understand themselves and their needs.

Our philosophy combines scientific rigor with human understanding. We strive to create an environment where patients feel respected, heard, emotionally safe, and genuinely understood while receiving highly specialized and evidence-informed care.

Assessment at NeuroEdge goes beyond isolated testing scores or symptom checklists. We seek to understand how a person’s developmental history, cognitive style, nervous system regulation, emotional functioning, medical background, education, environment, relationships, and life experiences interact to shape current functioning. This includes recognizing strengths alongside areas of difficulty and understanding how individuals adapt, compensate, or “mask” challenges over time.

We also believe that psychological assessment should be practical and meaningful. Evaluations are intended not only to clarify diagnoses, but to provide real-world insights, guide treatment planning, support educational or occupational accommodations when appropriate, and help individuals and families better understand themselves and their needs.

Specialized Expertise. Comprehensive Care.

Dr. Wagner has extensive experience evaluating complex and overlapping clinical presentations across children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Her approach emphasizes careful differential diagnosis, particularly in cases where symptoms may appear similar on the surface but arise from very different underlying causes.

Many individuals seek evaluation after years of feeling misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or uncertain about why previous interventions have not fully addressed their difficulties. NeuroEdge takes a comprehensive and individualized approach designed to look beyond isolated symptoms and better understand the whole person within the context of their developmental history, cognitive profile, emotional functioning, medical background, life experiences, environment, and daily functioning.

Complex Presentations

Particular attention is given to presentations in which conditions such as anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, trauma, sensory processing differences, depression, or cognitive impairment may overlap or mask one another. Dr. Wagner works to identify the underlying factors contributing to an individual’s presentation rather than relying solely on surface-level symptom similarities.

Autism & Masking

In autism evaluations, Dr. Wagner is particularly attentive to subtle or “masked” presentations that may be overlooked in traditional assessment settings, especially among intellectually capable individuals, females, adults, and individuals who have developed compensatory coping strategies over time. Her assessment approach extends beyond standardized measures alone and includes careful observation of communication style, sensory experiences, emotional regulation, developmental history, behavioral patterns, and qualitative nuances that individuals themselves may not initially recognize as clinically relevant.

Clinical Environment

The clinical environment is approached thoughtfully with consideration for sensory sensitivities, emotional comfort, and nervous system regulation in order to help individuals feel more at ease and able to present authentically during the evaluation process.

Memory & Cognitive Concerns

For individuals presenting with memory or cognitive concerns, evaluations incorporate a broader lifespan perspective that examines cognitive functioning across educational, occupational,
medical, neurological, and personal history. This may include consideration of prior injuries, untreated concussions, environmental or occupational exposures, stress and trauma history, hobbies, lifestyle patterns, and the specific ways cognitive changes manifest in everyday life. With consent, collateral information from family members or others close to the individual may also be incorporated to better understand changes over time and improve diagnostic clarity.

This same depth-oriented and individualized philosophy guides all evaluations conducted through NeuroEdge. The goal is not simply to identify diagnoses, but to understand the full clinical picture, recognize each individual’s strengths and challenges, and provide meaningful recommendations tailored to the person rather than only the referral question.

Telehealth Approach

NeuroEdge Psychological Services incorporates telehealth technology when clinically appropriate in order to increase accessibility, flexibility, and continuity of care. Certain consultation services, feedback sessions, and portions of the evaluation process may be conducted remotely depending on the nature of the referral and the needs of the individual.

Our goal is to combine modern accessibility with the same level of professionalism, clinical
depth, individualized attention, and thoughtful care provided during in-person services.

Future Neuroscience & Technology Integration

NeuroEdge was founded with a long-term vision of integrating advanced neuroscience-informed technologies into clinical practice in thoughtful, evidence-conscious, and patient-centered ways. As the clinic continues to grow, future service expansion plans may include the integration of
qEEG brain mapping, neurofeedback, and other emerging neuroscience-based tools designed to further support assessment, treatment planning, cognitive performance, emotional regulation, and individualized care. These services will be incorporated carefully and intentionally, with strong emphasis placed on clinical utility, scientific understanding, patient comfort, and personalized application rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

NeuroEdge remains committed to balancing innovation with clinical integrity while continuing to evolve alongside advancements in neuroscience and psychological care.
